Omar Abdulaziz Al-Jarhi

Omar Abdulaziz Al-Jarhi

Candidate for Chair of The Students Union

I am Omar Abdulaziz Al-Jarhi, proudly born and raised in the beloved city of Aqaba, and currently a fourth-year Law student. I believe that student representation is a mission and a responsibility before it is a title or position, and that serving students requires honesty, commitment, and continuous effort. Since the beginning of my university journey, my goal has always been to support students and advocate for their needs and concerns. For this reason, I actively participated in various student activities and charitable initiatives that played a major role in shaping my character, developing my experience, and strengthening my sense of responsibility toward my colleagues and university community. These experiences were among the main reasons that motivated me to run at the university level, believing in my ability to create real positive impact, represent students with integrity and transparency, and work toward delivering their voices and concerns effectively. I also aspire to earn the trust of my fellow students to reach the position of Student Union President, where I can work seriously toward improving university life, strengthening the role of students, and achieving what serves their interests and ambitions. I believe that real change begins with participation, and that teamwork is the path toward building a better university environment for everyone.

Saleh Al-Shakhatreh

Saleh Al-Shakhatreh

Candidate for Vice-Chair of The Students Union

I am Saleh Al-Shakhatreh, and I believe that student representation is a great responsibility and trust that requires honesty, dedication, and serious work. From the very beginning, my goal has been to be a genuine voice for students and to communicate their concerns and demands to the relevant authorities with transparency and responsibility. Student issues should never be underestimated, as they stem from real challenges students face daily on campus. Among the most important concerns are addressing the issue of overcrowded classrooms and working toward providing sufficient teaching staff in some faculties, as these issues directly affect course availability and delay academic plans for many students. We also seek to advocate for increasing the number of computer laboratories and reopening certain academic programs needed by both students and the job market, believing in the importance of developing the academic environment in line with future demands. Students’ demands are not impossible to achieve; they simply require people who genuinely carry them forward and communicate them effectively to decision-makers. This belief is what motivated me to run in the Student Union elections, convinced that together we can achieve positive change that reflects students’ ambitions and aspirations. I believe that genuine student representation begins with listening and succeeds through cooperation and collective effort for the benefit of all. The best is yet to come, God willing.
